Checked on October 27, 2026, the latest filing on the SEC's EDGAR list for Anthropic was that S-1; no amendment (S-1/A) had been filed. The S-1 leaves the offering price and the number of shares blank. Anthropic says it has applied to list its Class A common stock on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the symbol ANT, and that there is no public market for the stock before the offering. Until the registration statement is effective and the offering prices, there is nothing to buy on any exchange or broker. None is named. The S-1 says the representatives of the underwriters may agree to allocate shares to underwriters for sale to their online brokerage account holders. That is a possibility the filing allows for, not a list of brokers, and not a promise that retail investors will get shares. NerdWallet notes that one underwriting bank's parent, Morgan Stanley, owns E*TRADE, and suggests E*TRADE might be one broker. That is NerdWallet's reading, not something Anthropic or the S-1 states. NerdWallet also reports that when SpaceX went public, five brokers offered IPO shares directly: E*TRADE, Fidelity, Charles Schwab, Robinhood and SoFi. None of them has been confirmed for Anthropic. Anthropic says any sale or transfer of its stock, or any interest in its stock, that its Board of Directors has not approved is void and will not be recognized on its books. It also says it does not permit special purpose vehicles (SPVs) to acquire its stock, and that anyone claiming to sell its shares to the general public, whether by direct sales, forward contracts or tokenized securities, is likely offering something that may have no value. NerdWallet reports that the secondary-market sites Forge Global and Hiive each state on their own Anthropic pages that shares are not available on their platforms. NerdWallet describes the claims of some listed funds and SPV-based products about Anthropic exposure as suspicious, and says an Anthropic spokesperson declined to comment on them. No date has been announced in the S-1. Yahoo Finance reports that, under SEC rules, a company using the confidential filing process must make its registration materials public at least 15 calendar days before its investor roadshow starts. Counting 15 days from the October 26 filing, the earliest roadshow start would be around November 10; that date is our arithmetic, not an announcement. Press reports, including NerdWallet's, describe a November listing as expected, subject to market conditions. Treat all timing as reported, not confirmed, until the company files an amended S-1 with a price range or announces the offering.
