## Limits

- Limits reset on a rolling five-hour window plus weekly limits, per the pricing page, and Claude Code shares them with the chat apps.

### How much does Claude Code cost?

It is included with paid Claude plans: Pro $17 per month billed annually or $20 monthly, Max from $100 per month, plus Team and Enterprise; or pay as you go with API credits (claude.com/pricing, read Oct 27, 2026).

### Is Claude Code free?

No. Anthropic says the free claude.ai plan does not include Claude Code access. You need Pro, Max, Team, Enterprise or a Console account (code.claude.com/docs/en/setup, read Oct 27, 2026).

### Is there a free way to try Claude Code?

We did not find a free Claude Code trial on the pages we read. The open-source [opencode](https://theagenticweekly.com/tools/opencode) and [Codex CLI](https://theagenticweekly.com/tools/codex-cli) are free to install, but you pay for the models they call unless you run a local one.
