Five jobs this week’s releases take off your handsThis week's releases each take a boring job off your hands: reading CI logs, clicking through your own signup flow, translating strings. Five ways to use them, each with a prompt to paste. Reported we read the primary source and link it. Tested we ran it ourselves and say exactly how.

01
Get a comment on your PR that says why CI failed, before you open a log
Reported
|
|
Result
Every red CI run on a PR gets one comment: the cause, the file and line, and a fix. |
Runs on GitHub Agentic Workflows, GA Oct 28. Agents run read-only in a sandbox, and their writes go through a validated safe-outputs step. Claude Code and Codex are both supported engines. Source: GitHub changelog · gh-aw READMEYou'll build A workflow that wakes up when CI fails on a pull request. It reads the failing job's log and posts one comment with the cause and a fix. Paste into Claude Code or Codex, in your repo Fetch https://raw.githubusercontent.com/github/gh-aw/main/create.md and follow it.
Create an agentic workflow named ci-doctor that runs when my "CI" workflow fails on a pull request.
It reads the failing job's logs and posts ONE pull-request comment with:
1) the failing step, 2) the most likely cause in one sentence,
3) the file and line to look at, 4) a suggested fix as a diff.
Keep the agent read-only; the comment goes through safe-outputs. Use the claude engine.
Show me the .md and the compiled .lock.yml before you commit anything. |
- Add the API key for your engine as a repository secret. GitHub's engines page says which key each engine needs.
- Push the change, then break a test on a branch to watch it fire.
- Run
gh aw forecast to see what it will cost in AI credits before you leave it on.
$10/mo Copilot Pro, if you use the default engine. Checked Nov 1, 2026. |
Why now Until GA it was a preview. Now one Markdown file is the whole setup, the guardrails come built in, and the setup guide is written for coding agents to follow. Cost The default Copilot engine needs a Copilot license. Pro is $10 a month (github.com/features/copilot/plans, checked Nov 1, 2026). With the claude or codex engine you pay for your own API usage instead. |
02
Copy the motion of an animation you like into your own component
Reported
|
|
Result
The motion you liked, rebuilt in your own component and measured against the original. |
Runs on reanimate, an MIT-licensed Claude Code skill published Oct 29. It films the original, builds a copy, films the copy and fixes the biggest difference, usually over 2 to 5 rounds. Source: reanimate READMEYou'll build A hero entrance, loader or hover effect, rebuilt in what your project already uses (CSS, Framer Motion, GSAP, three.js). Input can be a URL, a screen recording, a gif or a Lottie file. Install, then run it in Claude Code npx skills add NiazMorshed2007/reanimate -g -a claude-code
/reanimate the hero entrance on https://example.com, into components/Hero.tsx
/reanimate the card hover in this gif, match it exactly |
- By default it matches motion: timing within 80 ms, same easing and distance. "Match it exactly" also checks the pixels.
- Needs Bun 1.1+ on macOS or Linux and about 250 MB on first run. No API keys.
80 ms Default timing tolerance for a motion match, per the README. |
Why now Ask an agent to "make it move like this" and it makes one pass, because it can't see motion. This gives it a measurement to check against. Cost Free; it uses your Claude plan. Copy the motion, not the brand: the README notes another site's fonts, images and code still belong to their owners. |
03
Translate your app's UI into five languages for under a dollar
Reported
|
|
Result
Five locale files from one en.json, for about $0.42. |
Runs on Mistral Large 4, open weights since Oct 29. Its API price is now $0.70 in and $2.10 out per 1M tokens; Mistral's docs listed $1.36 and $4.18 when we read them Oct 26 to 29. Source: Mistral AI announcement · Mistral model docsYou'll build A script that writes fr.json, de.json and the other locale files from your en.json, and fails if any placeholder breaks. Paste into Claude Code, Codex or Cursor Write scripts/translate.mjs. Read locales/en.json. For each of fr, de, es, pt-BR, ja:
call the Mistral API with model "mistral-large-4" on the lowest reasoning mode
(check Mistral's docs for the parameter), 200 keys per request, and ask for JSON back with the same keys.
Never translate {placeholders}, ICU plurals or HTML tags.
Write locales/<lang>.json. Exit non-zero if a key is missing or a placeholder changed.
Read MISTRAL_API_KEY from the environment. Print the token usage per language. |
- Get a key from Mistral Studio. Mistral also lists OpenRouter as an option.
- Have someone who speaks each language spot-check the output before it ships.
$0.42 Five languages from a 30,000-token en.json. Our arithmetic on list prices, not a measured bill. |
Why now At the old price you'd hand this to a weaker model. Open weights also mean you can move the job to your own hardware later. Cost Our arithmetic on list prices, not a measured bill: a 30,000-token en.json into five languages is 150K in ($0.11) plus 150K out ($0.32), about $0.42, plus some reasoning tokens (billed as output; can't be turned off). Checked Nov 1, 2026. The API is still listed as public preview. |
04
Have an agent click through your signup flow on every preview deploy
Reported
|
|
Result
A report.md with a pass/fail line and a screenshot for every step of your signup flow. |
Runs on You'll build A smoke test that signs up on your preview URL with a test account, creates a project, logs out and back in, and writes a pass/fail report with screenshots. Paste into Codex or Claude Code Write scripts/smoke.mjs using Playwright (Chromium) and the OpenAI Responses API with model
"gpt-6.1-terra" and the computer_use tool. Follow
https://developers.openai.com/api/docs/guides/tools-computer-use
Open process.env.PREVIEW_URL. Steps: sign up as test+<timestamp>@example.com, create a first project,
log out, log back in. After each step save a screenshot and one line: passed / failed / what looked wrong.
Write report.md. Stop after 40 actions. Stop at any payment page; never type card details. |
- Run it against a preview or staging URL, never production, with a test account.
- Once the report reads right, ask your agent to run it in CI on every preview deploy.
$1 / $5 GPT-6.1 Terra per 1M tokens in / out. GPT-5.6 Terra was $2 / $12. Checked Nov 1, 2026. |
Why now Clicking through your own app after every change is the check that gets skipped most. At Terra's price, running it on every preview deploy is reasonable. Cost $1 in, $5 out per 1M tokens (checked Nov 1, 2026); screenshots count as input. OpenAI doesn't say whether its per-tool-call fee applies to Terra's computer use, so set a spend limit before CI. |

Turn "fix the lint errors on my PR" into a bot that does it for you
Reported
|
|
Result
A bot that pushes lint and type fixes to your PRs, tested on real PRs before it touches one. |
Runs on Cursor Agent SDK, GA Oct 26. It's the framework Cursor uses for its own Bugbot. It ships with a PR-autofixer template, and agent-sdk github replay turns a real pull request into a test. Source: Cursor changelog · Cursor blogYou'll build A bot that wakes up on pull-request and CI events and pushes a commit that fixes only lint and type errors. Steps # 1. scaffold (add --template and pick the PR autofixer)
npx @cursor/agent-sdk init ./pr-fixer
# 2. local playground
cd pr-fixer && agent-sdk dev
# 3. turn a real PR into a test, then run evals
agent-sdk github replay <PR-URL> --dry-run --fixtures-dir fixtures/
agent-sdk eval
# 4. ship it (or run it yourself as one Node process)
agent-sdk deploy |
- Put the rule in
instructions.md: "Only fix lint and type errors reported by CI. Never change behavior. One commit per PR." - Write one eval that fails if the bot edits a file CI didn't flag.
Tested · Oct 26 1/6 → 10/10 Mastra passes after we pinned temperature to 0. Our Oct 26 smoke test. |
Why now Evals and PR replay let you see what the bot would do on a real PR before it touches one. Cost Cursor's posts don't say which plan covers hosted deploys. Running it on your own server as one Node process is the documented alternative. |
Tested · Oct 26
If your evals flake, pin temperature to 0 before blaming the framework. In the same test the OpenAI Agents SDK for JS went from 3/10 to 10/10. One task, small local 3B model: a smoke test, not a benchmark. Our Mastra test |
