Google Gen AI Python SDK 3.0.0: API defaults to v1, httpx2 replaces httpx
Google shipped google-genai / python-genai 3.0.0 on November 5-6, 2026. The release notes say the Gemini Developer API default is now v1 (was v1beta), the default HTTP client is httpx2 (httpx is no longer installed by default), and CodeExecutionResultStep.result is a union instead of a plain string.
