AI model release calendar: confirmed dates and labeled rumors
As of 2026-10-26 (America/Chicago), the next vendor-confirmed dates are Kimi K3.1 Pro's full weights by 2026-11-04, Microsoft Ignite 2026-11-17 to 11-20, Gemini 4 Argon's introductory API price ending 2026-11-30, and AWS re:Invent 2026-11-30 to 12-04. "Confirmed" means a vendor or event organizer states it on its own page; everything else here is a rumor with no date asserted.
Evidence: Reported. Every date is read from the vendor or event pages listed under Sources on 2026-10-26 (America/Chicago). Rumor rows are not plans. We have not run any model listed here.

Rumored or unconfirmed
| Rumor | What we found | Source type | Our status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Grok 5 | Pogwire reports (Oct. 16, 2026) that xAI has not released Grok 5 or announced a date, that the newest model is Grok 4.7, and that Elon Musk has posted about Grok 5 on X | Secondary news site citing xAI docs; Musk posts | Unconfirmed. See Grok 4.7 for what is released |
| DeepSeek V5 | DeepSeek's updates page, read 2026-10-26, lists DeepSeek-V4.1-Flash-1017 (2026-10-17) and V4.1 Flash (2026-09-10) and no V5 | Vendor changelog (absence of an announcement) | Unconfirmed; nothing announced on that page. See DeepSeek V4.1 Flash |
| Gemini 4 Carbon | Our research notes saw posts on X; Google's pricing page lists Gemini 4 Argon and no model named Carbon | Community posts; we did not verify the posts | Unconfirmed |
| GPT-7 | Appears as a search query; we found no OpenAI page announcing it in the pages we read | Search suggestions only | Unconfirmed |

| Llama 5 | Appears as a search query; we found no Meta page announcing it in the pages we read | Search suggestions only | Unconfirmed |

Why we label rumors
A release date is a claim someone can be held to, and only the vendor can make it. Posts on X and search suggestions show that people are asking, not that a launch is planned. We list rumors so you can see what is being asked about, and we never give them a date. When a vendor confirms something, the row moves up to the confirmed table with a link to the vendor's page, and past rows move to the archive rather than being deleted.
How this page is updated
We plan to re-check this page on Mondays and whenever a vendor announces a date. Each update changes the date at the top and the changelog below.
